ACCESSIBILITY (DISABLED CUSTOMERS) AND ASSISTANTS
There has been a ticket type on sale, which guarantees access to the wheelchair platform. All tickets are sold out. If you are using a wheelchair or need assistance for obvious health reasons during the event, an assistant is welcomed to enter the site with you without a separate ticket. Please be prepared to clarify the need of assistance at the gate. Only a separate disabled wheelchair ticket guarantees access to the wheelchair platform. We do not allow wheelchair customers to the Golden Circle area for security reasons.
There will be accessible toilets in all toilet areas as well as next to the wheelchair platform. We recommend that disabled customers use the bar area next to the main entrance, as this ground is more accessible compared to the big grass area. There is a info point located near the wheelchair platform, please don’t hesitate to come and ask questions – our staff is there to help!
ACCOMMODATION - KANTOLA EVENT CAMPING
Kantola Event Camping is situated next to the event park and is mainly intended for the people attending the Metallica concert. More information about the Kantola Event Camping can be found on their website HERE. Please check Hämeenlinna city hotels / hostels for other accommodation on the day of the event.
Age limit is 5 years. Customers of age 14 and under must be accompanied by a guardian over the age of 18. Please note that each customer needs to have a ticket.
ARRIVING TO THE VENUE
We recommend our customers to arrive by using public transportation. Please read instructions on how to get to Kantola Event Park from HERE.
You may bring a normal sized back bag to the concert area, but we advise our customers to leave unnecessary belongings at home, in order to speed up the security checks. There will be a cloakroom by the gate where you are able to leave your belongings for the duration of the event. Cloakroom is 5 € + 2 € for every additional visit. Cloakroom is CASH ONLY - no card payments accepted.
There are two different licensed bar areas at the concert area for people over 18 years of age. Majority of the concert area is licensed area. There is a licensed area and food trucks also located on the left side, straight after the main entrance. See the area map HERE. Please be prepared to show your official ID (passport, driver’s license or identity card issued by the police) when entering the bar area. Due to Finnish alcohol laws, bringing your own alcoholic beverages to the event is forbidden. The bars serve customers for approx. 30 mins after the concert.
There are food stands around the area e.g. Burger Beast, Street Pitas, Festarigrilli, American Burger, Nordic Fish restaurants, Beef & Pork, Vegetarian Kitchen, Muchos Nachos, BBQ House, Funky Chicken, Kebab Explorer. There will be vegetarian choices, as well as gluten free, dairy free options available. See the locations of food stands HERE.
Water and refreshments can be found around the area’s food stands as well as in the licensed areas. There is a K-Market kiosk truck, where you can find snacks, drinks, raincoats, earplugs etc.
CAMERAS / RECORDING EQUIPMENT / PHOTOGRAPHY
You may bring your mobile telephone or compact camera with you to the event site. SLRs (cameras with detachable lenses), professional camera equipment and cameras with removable features are prohibited. Video recording equipment, GoPros, audio recording equipment, laptop computers and tablets are also prohibited.
The cans and bottles sold contain a deposit “pantti” (1€) that you can return either to the separate deposit points or the selling points.
There will be a cloakroom situated close to the gates, where you can leave your belongings if needed. The fee for the cloakroom service is 5 euros and additional visits are charged 2 euros. Cloakroom is CASH ONLY - no card payments accepted. All belongings are checked at the gates by security. This applies to everything left in the cloakroom as well. We advise our customers to leave unnecessary belongings home, in order to speed up the security checks.
You may bring with you one (1) sealed (unopened) soft, clear plastic bottles, sized 0.5 liters or smaller. Within the site there are water posts where you will be able to refill your plastic bottle. You can also purchase water from the area.
There are two entrances to the event area: main gate is located on Puusepänkatu and the other entrance is located on Myllärinkatu for customers coming from the parking areas. VIP customers have their own entrance next to the main gate - please remember to register at the VIP check-in before entering the venue. Remember to bring your ticket with you! Only one entrance per ticket! If you leave the site after your ticket has been scanned, you cannot re-enter.
We recommend that you use earplugs to protect your hearing and recommend that you bring your own earplugs with you. There are some earplugs are being sold at the site.
There is a First Aid service station for minor injuries at the event area. Please contact the First Aid personnel or security guards if you need or see someone in need of help. See the location of the First Aid station HERE
FLAGS and BANNERS
Flags and banners are permitted but are not to be raised at the front of the stage or anywhere else where they might block the view for other people. If you are asked to lower your flag by other customers and / or security personnel, please do so. Flag poles can be confiscated by security if deemed unsafe, so we advise against bringing them to the event site.
FOOD AND DRINKS
There are multiple stands within the concert site where you may purchase variety of different foods and drinks. You are allowed to bring a reasonable amount of picnic food for your own consumption with you. It is forbidden to bring glass bottles, cans and jars to the area for security reasons. You may bring with you one (1) sealed (unopened) soft, clear plastic bottle, sized 0.5 liters or smaller. All of the bags, including the foods and drinks will be checked by the security when entering the event site.

Golden Circle is an area in front of the stage. You can access this area is only with a Golden Circle ticket. Golden Circle customers can enter the area from both entrances, there is no separate entrance/lane for Golden Circle. Inside the venue you can find a designated Golden Circle entrance located near the info point to ensure you can get to the GC area even when the area is filled with other concert guests. Please see entrance in the area map (number 11).
We do not allow wheelchair customers to the Golden Circle area for security reasons.
The Metallica concert is held in Kantola Event Park (Kantolan tapahtumapuisto), in the city of Hämeenlinna. The event park is situated within a walking distance from the city centre of Hämeenlinna.
The gates to the event park open at 3 pm on the event day. We advise you to arrive well in advance to the event site as there will be 55 000 Metallica fans arriving to the concert. You can only enter the site once with your ticket. Tickets can’t be re-read at the gates.
KANTOLA EVENT PARK AND THE CITY OF HÄMEENLINNA
Kantola Event Park (Kantolan tapahtumapuisto) is located in the city of Hämeenlinna, approximately a one hour drive from Helsinki and Tampere. Hämeenlinna can be reached easily by train or bus. Kantola Event Park, located by the lake Vanajavesi, is only 2,1 km from the Hämeenlinna railway station and 2,9 km from the main bus station and the city center. You can find out more about the services of the city on the city’s website www.hameenlinna.fi (in Finnish, but includes some links to websites that are in English).

LOST AND FOUND
During the event there all Lost & Found items can be delivered to the info point at the event site or accreditation point outside the venue. After the event all of the lost and found items will be delivered to a lost property office in Hämeenlinna (Hämeenlinnan löytötavaratoimisto). You can contact the office about your lost items from July 5th onward. (Phone 0600 303 322, address Aulangontie 1, 13210 Hämeenlinna). Contact information and opening hours can be found HERE.
There are 3 official merchandise stands at the event site. One outside the concert area (opens approx. 12pm), two merchandise stands inside the area. See the locations of the merchandise stands HERE.
We strongly recommend our customers to arrive by using public transportation. In case you will be arriving by a car, please not that there will be various traffic arrangements in the city of Hämeenlinna and we ask you to prepare for the streets to and within the city to be crowded. We ask that you consider reserving plenty of time for your travel.
There will be four parking lots (for a fee) for people arriving to the concert by car. The parking lots are following: Vanajan Kirkko (P1), Visamäki (P2), Kantola Event Camping ( P3) and Kantola Event Park parking (PVIP). Cars arriving to the parking lots will be received in the order of arrival. Please read more information about arriving by car and parking HERE.
PLEASE NOTE! The parking spaces are VERY limited.
Card payment is possible in most sales points and bars in the concert area, but in case of technical problems and to speed up the service we recommend you also reserve cash with you. In addition to cash, accepted payment methods are most common debit and credit cards, as well as Visa Electron. American Express and Diners are not accepted. Cloakroom is CASH ONLY.
The distribution of posters and flyers as well as sales activities of any kind are subject to prior approval from the festival organizer.
Queuing is allowed on the date of the event from 12 pm onwards. People queuing before that will be asked to move from the entrance.
Please help us keep the site clean by using the bins that can be found around the area.
Gates to the event area open at 3 PM. At that time the security checks will begin and the restaurants and concession stands inside the event area are opened to the customers. We advise our customers to leave unnecessary belongings home, in order to speed up the security checks. There will be a cloakroom by the gate where you are able to leave your belongings for the duration of the event. All of the items left in the cloakroom will have to go through the security check as well.
We recommend that you arrive well in advance as there are 55 000 Metallica fans arriving to the concert.

SECURITY AND FORBIDDEN ITEMS
You can find security staff all over the concert area and in its immediate surroundings. Security staff wear yellow or orange wests. Please listen to security personnel’s instructions in all situations. There is a info point at the venue, where you can come and ask questions / help, when needed. It is strictly forbidden to bring professional cameras, video and tape recorders, computers, tablets, pets, camping furniture, selfie sticks, umbrellas, barbeque grills, cans, jars, alcoholic beverages, laser pointers, weapons, fireworks and other hazardous materials or equipment into the event area and its immediate vicinity. An exception for forbidden furniture are small folding chairs, which are allowed for an obvious need, such as the last trimester of pregnancy or a broken leg.
"Crowd surfing" is forbidden for safety reasons and people doing so will be removed from the event site.
There is a cloakroom with surcharge where you can leave your belongings for storage.
You may bring one (1) sealed (unopened) soft, clear plastic bottle or drinks carton, sized 0.5 liters or smaller with you to the area.
Powerbanks are allowed.
Drugs are illegal and of course prohibited at the event and we cooperate with the police to prevent drug use.
No fires are permitted in the event park.

Tickets to the event are on sale on Ticketmaster's website at www.ticketmaster.fi and at Ticketmaster's outlets. We advise that you only purchase tickets from the official ticket agent, Ticketmaster. It is very risky to buy your tickets anywhere else, since there are plenty of dishonest people selling tickets online, whom will not provide the purchaser with a legitimate ticket after receiving their money. You can only access the area with a real ticket.

There will be 55 000 Metallica fans arriving to the concert. The roads to the city and within will be crowded, so we strongly recommend that you arrive well in advance when the gates open at 3 PM to enjoy the concert atmosphere, and reserve patience and good spirit for your travel to the event park.
The walk from Hämeenlinna railway station is approximately 2 km to Kantola Event Park, the main bus station and city center are approximately 3 km away. We advise you to take this into consideration timewise when arriving. The route from the train station is Hämeentie-Keinusaarentie-Vanajantie-Kantolankatu-Luukkaankatu-Puusepänkatu.
Due to the limited amount of parking space we strongly recommend that you make your way to Hämeenlinna using public transportation. Remember to reserve your bus or train tickets to Hämeenlinna in advance. Those arriving by car however, are advised to find parking primarily in the Hämeenlinna city center and continue from there on foot. There will be very limited parking arranged for people arriving by car.

Tickets purchased from CID Entertainment are non-transferable and non-refundable, and should not be purchased through third-party sellers. Purchasers found reselling CID packages will have their orders cancelled, in accordance to our purchase policy. To redeem all elements of your VIP order you must present your receipt, picture ID, and credit card at the VIP check-in. All package elements will be rendered invalid if resold. Name changes will only be issued at the sole discretion of CID Entertainment. CID Entertainment reserves the right to cancel your package for any reason.
