ARRIVING AND EXITING BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Metallica concert will be held in Hämeenlinna, Kantola Event Park. The Kantola Event Park is located within walking distance of downtown Hämeenlinna, 9.5 hectares of parkland, by the Vanajavesi, in the Kantola industrial area.

On the day of the event, Hämeenlinna is expected to have 55,000 concert guests to celebrate with Metallica, so the city walkways lanes and in particular the entrance gates of the event will occasionally be congested on the day of the event. The concert day is on Tuesday and trains will contain also normal commuter rail traffic.

For these reasons, we recommend that you arrive immediately after the gates open at 15:00 to enjoy the concert and event area!

The easiest way to arrive to Hämeenlinna on the day of the concert is by public transport. The Vanajantie-Kantolankatu-Luukkaankatu-Puusepänkatu walking route from the city center will lead to the concert area. From the city center to the Kantola event park, there will be Hämeenlinna city signage to guide the way. The entrance gates to the concert area are located on Puusepänkatu. We recommend reserving enough time for arrival, walking distance from Hämeenlinna railway station and bus station to main gate is about 3 km.

One of our official partners, Onnibus, carries concert guests to the gig and back home and bus rides are now on sale at Onnibus.com. Onnibus bus stop is at the corner of Puusepänkatu and Vanajantie (the location on the map is at the taxi drop-off). So right in the vicinity of the gate! Read more below and from Onnibus.com!

The event will end at around 24:00, the event services will serve concert guests about half an hour after the end of the concert. 55,000 concert guests will leave the concert simultaneously, so it is worthwhile to reserve a lot of time and patience for exiting, as the area will be congested when all the fans leave the area at the same time.

After the concert, the exit to the city center will be through the same route as your arrival: via Puusepänkatu, Luukkaankatu, Kantolankatu and Vanajantie to the center.
