ACCESSIBILITY - ARRIVAL AND THE EVENT AREA
We would like to warmly welcome our disabled Metallica fans to the concert as we are working on creating functional arrangements for your benefit.
Wheelchair tickets for concert guests with disabilities, with access to the wheelchair platform, are now sold out. Disabled customers may also purchase a General Admission ticket but this does not cannot guarantee access to the platform due to its limited space. Patrons who have purchased the wheelchair ticket will have first access to the platform. Wheelchair customers are not allowed in the Golden Circle area for safety reasons.
If you are using a wheelchair or need assistance for obvious health reasons during the event, an assistant is welcomed to enter the site with you without a separate ticket. Please be prepared to clarify the need of assistance at the gate. Be prepared to prove your assistant's needs at the gate, visually impaired customers must have a card proving a visual impairment. There is a platform for wheelchairs in the event area and accessible toilets near each toilet area and next to the wheelchair platform. There are no assistants provided by the event organizer at the ramps or toilets.
A small foldable camping chair is allowed included if the need is obvious (e.g. broken leg, last third of pregnancy). Please be prepared to prove the need with for example a medical certificate or other similar document.

MOVING AROUND THE AREA
Wheelchair platform and designated toilets are accessible, but please note that the distances may be long and the wheelchair platform and the licenced area are located on soft lawn that can be difficult for people with reduced mobility to move around in. Here you will find the services and map of the event area!
ARRIVING AND EXITING HÄMEENLINNA AND KANTOLA EVENT PARK
On the day of the event, there are several exceptions to traffic arrangements in Hämeenlinna, and you should be prepared for some traffic congestion, so please reserve enough time and patience for arrival. Please note that it is important to keep track of signage around the area instead of the instructions of a GPS to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. The gates to the area will be opened already at 3 PM, so we recommend that you arrive early to enjoy the summer day at Kantola and avoid most of the crowds and ensure a good concert feeling!
The event will end at around 12AM, the event area will serve concert guests about half an hour after the end of the concert. 55,000 concert guests will leave the concert simultaneously, so it is recommended to reserve time, patience for on exiting, as the area will be congested when fans leave the area. After leaving the concert, Hämeenlinna will have plenty of temporary traffic arrangements in addition to the exiting audience - please be mindful of this while exiting the area.
DROP-OFF POINT FOR DISABLED CUSTOMERS
We have reserved a drop-off point for taxis carrying disabled customers on Vanajantie (near Puusepänkatu crossing), through Hämeenlinna city center. On the day of the event, the Vanajantie is a one-way street, which means that the drop-off point cannot be accessed through Highway 10 (VT10). From here, guests with reduced mobility can access the main gate by following signage along Puusepänkatu.
The drop-off point serves both on arrival and departure from the event and is only allowed for taxis carrying concert guests with reduced mobility. Due to limited space, traffic regulations and safety reasons, taxis cannot drive to the main entrance of the event. You can see the location of the drop-off for disabled patrons on the map above.
Disabled guests should arrive the event area from the main gate, where we have reserved a designated, unobstructed entrance lane. On the day of the event, there are several temporary traffic arrangements in Hämeenlinna, and you should be prepared for occasional congestion, so please reserve enough your time and patience for arrival. PARKING FOR DISABLED CUSTOMERS
There is a parking area for disabled customers in the vicinity of the event area, where it has been possible for disabled concert guests to apply for a parking permit in advance. - The application period has ended -
There are a limited number of parking spaces. You can apply for a parking space with a valid disabled parking permit, without a parking permit parking in this area is not allowed. Parking permits must be requested in advance due to its limited capacity, spaces are filled by order of application. We will respond to every application, and parking permits, as well as driving directions and map will be mailed to in July. Please note that sending an email does not automatically mean a parking permit will be approved. When you arrive at the event, you must have the parking permit you have received and your personal disabled parking permit.
